WHY FINDING QUALITY CLINICAL SUPERVISION CAN BE a struggle
WHat is ECo-SOMATIC SUPERVISION?
Eco-Somatic supervision is a multidisciplinary supervision model created by Arielle Mesa, LICSW MSW. This model weaves together trauma psychology, somatic therapy, de-colonial and intersectional liberation therapies, and ancestral, Earth-based (or eco) healing practices.
It is a clinical supervision model that teaches clinicians how to effectively steward the embodied health and well being of their human clients and their inextricable, symbiotic relationship to our natural world - the Earth, Air, Sun, and Water, the animals, plants, and more than human kin of our world.
Eco-somatic supervision understands that the path to true holistic healing means not only treating the whole person - mind body and spirit - but the whole living environment in which they live and interact with every day of their lives. It understands that our health as a species and the health of our more than human relatives are inextricably linked.
Thus, we have a responsibility and duty as people and practitioners to bring awareness and attend to the health and well-being of both to promote the highest and most effective level of healing for all of LIFE.
The Eco-Somatic Supervision Path is a door, an opportunity for budding clinicians and practitioners to expand their clinical practice skills and earn clinical supervision hours in a way that speaks to the person and practitioner they wish to become for themselves, for their clients, for the animals, plants, and for the greater world we all are a part of.

Meet YOUR SUPERVISOR
Hi! I'm Arielle. Serving in the mental health field for the last 11 years and supporting people as a trauma-sensitive, somatic, earth based therapist for the last 8 has taught me so much about the value of having an inspiring and empowering clinical supervisor and mentor.
I've had the honor of mentoring with some amazing clinicians and teachers from around the world - clinical social workers, yoga therapists, holistic wellness professionals, shamanic practitioners, elders, earth wisdom keepers . Each taught me so much about my strengths and my growing edges as a person, professional, and future ancestor. Through mentorship and supervision, I developed and evolved my healing skills as a therapist, practitioner, and person that ultimately lead me to the current embodiment of my clinical practice today.
I am excited to finally offer the opportunity to share the weaving of this wisdom passed onto me with other clinical practitioners and therapists interested in blossoming growing their clinical skills in the Eco-Somatic Clinical Training and Supervision Program.

“Action on behalf of life transforms. Because the relationship between self and the world is reciprocal, it is not a question of first getting enlightened or saved and then acting. As we work to heal the earth, the earth heals us.”

FOUNDATIONS
Somatic
therapy
TO SUPPORT YOUR BODY
Somatic therapy is a holistic approach that emphasizes the connection the body and mind. It explores how physical sensations, emotions, and thoughts can influence each other, helping individuals release stored trauma and tension. Through various techniques, such as breathwork and movement, somatic therapy encourages clients to become more aware of their bodily experiences, promoting healing and self-discovery. This therapeutic practice can lead to improved emotional well-being and a deeper understanding of oneself.
Decolonial Practice
TO SUPPORT YOUR MIND
Brainspotting is a therapeutic approach focuses on the connection between eye position and emotional processing. Developed by Dr. David Grand, it helps individuals access and traumatic memories or emotional distress by identifying specific eye positions that correlate with their feelings. This innovative technique allows for deeper exploration of the mind, facilitating healing and personal growth in a safe and supportive environment. Through brainspotting, clients can achieve a greater understanding of their emotions and experiences, leading to transformative change.
Earth based (eco) therapy
TO SUPPORT YOUR SPIRIT
Shamanic soul retrieval is a spiritual practice at reclaiming lost parts of the soul, often due to trauma or emotional distress. This healing journey helps individuals restore their sense of wholeness and reconnect with their true selves. Limpias on the other hand, are traditional cleansing rituals that involves the use of sacred herbs and prayers to purify the energy field, promoting balance and harmony. Together, these practices offer a powerful pathway for healing and personal transformation, guiding individuals towards greater well-being and inner peace.
The eco-somatic supervision program will guide clinicians in:
Sacred Space is committed to creating a sustainable model of care that allows ALL people to access the multidimensional support they seek. This system functions successfully by inviting people with more financial means to opt into a higher session fee to empower those with less material support to receive this type of support at a lower cost. This system also allows me as a space holder to continue to feel financially sustained in our current economy while offering my services at reduced rates.
01
Is this price fully reflective of and in integrity with my financial and materialized privilege, including my ability to access various resources and means?
02
Does this price put me in a place of financial hardship?
03
Does this price reflect my commitment to support the subsidization of services for folks with less financial and material privilege?

traditional supervision misses the mark IN addressing ESCALATING modern day THREATs that IMPACT our human and Earth bodies.

WHY THIS MATTERS NOW
We live in a time where many of the "modern day" structures that have long been positioned as measurements of our "progress" as a society are actively crumbling. The roots of their true nature and intentions are being more fully and clearly revealed to us. We are learning more each and every day that they are not hear to serve ALL people or to serve ALL life.
These structures, these systemic forces are come from violent roots - capitalism, modernization, industrialization, slavery, genocide, colonization, indoctrinaton, religious imperialism, and oppression of all forms. The impact of these structures rooted in violence has created an ever growing and mounting wound within the mental emotional physical and spiritual spheres of health and wellness for humans, more than human kin, and our planet.
We as a species are approaching a threshold where something is going to have to give in order for us to drastically change and reconcile the trajectory of where these structures have and will continue to ultimately lead us. A part of this means reimagining what health and care ultimately mean for us. It also means reconnecting with and embodying collaborative, relationship-based practices rooted in reciprocity and symbiosis that supported the survival of our species, the animals, the plants and our planet for hundreds of thousands of years prior to the bronze age.
WHO is this PROGRAM for?
BLOSSOMING CLINICIANS SEARCHING FOR ALIGNED SUPERVISION+ CEU'S
If you often feel tense, restless, numb, or just not quite "in sync" with your body, somatic therapy can help. It gently guides you to notice and release physical patterns related to stress or past experiences.
CLINICIANS THAT STRIVE TO EMBODY BEING GOOD ANCESTORS + ALLIES
Many people hold onto trauma as physical tension, pain, or discomfort, even if their mind doesn't consciously remember it all. Somatic therapy helps your body complete its natural stress response, releasing this stored energy and bringing a profound sense of inner calm.
PRACTITIONERS THAT CARE ABOUT HEALING THE WOUNDS OF COLONIALISM
If you experience intense anxiety, anger, or panic that feels overwhelming and hard to control, this therapy helps you learn to "tune into" your body's signals. By understanding these physical cues, you can gain more control over your emotional responses.
THERAPISTS WHO WANT TO GROW IN SOMATIC & EARTH BASED THERAPIES
Even without a specific trauma, somatic therapy can help you feel more connected to yourself. It builds your awareness of how your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations are linked, leading to greater self-awareness and a more peaceful presence.

You've done all of the "correct" things. You've accomplished all of the "normal" goals. You've built the "picturesque" life society told you, you would want.
But, no matter what you do, how many achievements, accolades, or material things you accumulate, it never really feels like enough.
Underneath, there's a growing sense of discomfort. A lack of fulfillment. A misalignment you can't quite put a finger on. A not so subtle disconnection between your life and the deeper needs and wants of your heart.
You're here because something within you yearns for more - more clarity around who you truly are, more freedom from the oppressive forces that have held you back, more space to feel fully connected to and woven into the beauty of life.
You're ready to break free from the internal and external blocks that have kept you safely stuck, to heal the parts of you that are ready to return back home, and to reconnect with the embodied, and felt knowing of who you truly are and the unique gifts you're meant to bring to the world.
