We'll start with an initial conversation to understand your goals for well-being and assess how your mental, emotional, and physical health are connected. If somatic therapy feels like the right fit, our first sessions will then focus on helping you gently tune into what's happening inside your body, noticing sensations like tension or lightness, to build a foundational awareness of how your emotions and experiences show up physically.
Diving Deeper to Complete Healing Cycles
REPROCESSING + HEALING DEEP DIVE
Once you feel more grounded, we'll gently guide you to address any deeper wounds or patterns that are keeping you stuck. Somatic therapy helps your body complete its natural responses to past threats (like fight, flight, or freeze) that might have been interrupted. This discharge of built-up tension allows for optimal healing on all levels.
SETTING THE FRAME
Building Safety and Releasing "Stuck" Energy
This crucial phase is about creating a sense of trust and safety both within yourself and in our sessions. We'll work on strengthening your internal self-awareness and ability to calm your system through practices like boundary setting and co-regulation. This allows your body to safely begin releasing any "stuck" energy from past stress or trauma through gentle movements or breathing, leading to a sense of relief.
Integrating Changes for Lasting Well-being
INTEGRATION + HOMEWORK
In our final sessions, we'll create space to thoughtfully reflect on your healing journey, reinforcing the skills and insights you've gained. We'll outline practical "homework" and ongoing practices to help you fully integrate these new feelings of calm and safety into your daily life, allowing you to expand your "window of tolerance" and live with greater resilience and presence.
